Meeting 3/28 + Elections

If you're planning on submitting 1-3 photos for our club Photojournalism contest, be sure to get your printed photo(s) to Mr. Iams by this Friday, March 28. You may bring your USB to bring the photos you plan on submitting to our meeting this Friday.
As a reminder, here are the rules for the contest:

- Submit to Mr. Iams by this Friday, March 28
- Must be printed (you may use the club's printer: 4x6 - $0.75, 8x10 - $1.50)
- Do not mount on a mat
- Write your name on a sticker/post-it and put it on the back of each photo
- Each person may submit up to three photos
Our meeting will be some small work on our club photo portfolio.

Finally! It's the time of the year to choose your next year's officers. There are five positions: President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Activities Manager. Here are their roles:

President:
- Plans and leads officer and member meetings
Vice-President:
- Stands in for the President in case of his/her absence
Secretary:
- Takes meeting attendance
- Submits almost monthly reports to ASB
Treasurer:
- Manages club funds
- Organizes fundraisers like Club Day
Activities Manager:
- Plans and organizes club activities
- Keeps track of members' points and activity attendance

If you wish to run for a position and make Photo Club even greater to spread the love of photography, simply fill out the application. E-mail us at lhs.photography@gmail.com if you didn't get one, and send it to us on Wednesday, April 9. Elections will be held on April 11. Each candidate is required to give a short speech (1 minute), and everyone will vote.

Even though all the current officers will be graduating this year (empty positions!!!!!), Mr. Iams will still be around to walk the new officers through next year, so don't be afraid to run. Photo Club doesn't eat up a lot of your time, and it's fun. :)
